If there is one good thing to come out of HTML5 it is the video tag. It should've killed off video hosting sites.

I thought XHTML was a non bloated alt option for HTML
@charliebrownau @wrongthink @JapanAnon It exists, but besides following the XML syntax, it is literally identical to HTML5. It even uses the same doctype. To make it XHTML5, you need to set the MIME-type to application/xml.

I love that it made Flash irrelevant, though I think outsourcing the load makes sense for bandwidth
