Here's a recommended read about the world wide web, very well put, though the only complaint would be her praise for Gab and Neocities, both are known for censoring people (or websites in the case of Neocities) which she seems to be ignoring here.

Yes, I know the about page says she's a male, but comes over as female, so I don't care.
But in some ways I think she's better than lots of the other anonymity aware people I've found over the past few years, as at least she doesn't seem to be outright anti-capitalist like many others are, instead she's able to draw the line between what ways of earning money online is ethical and what's not.

>One of the wonderful aspects of 4chan and most other chans is that the complete and utter anonymity, right down to the non-existence of user accounts.

I honestly wish the fedi had something like this. I thought about an instance with a single user account that is open to everyone, so they can make anonymous posts.

· · Web · 3 · 1 · 3

fedi is more like email so it wouldn’t really make sense the way activitypub is designed

I don't think it will go well with Fedi.
The whole point of Fedi is that you can have an account on one server, and interact with all the other servers from there.
Having no user accounts at all will turn it into a chan or BBS, because the whole point of those is to have no account.
And unless it's content federation, federation without accounts is rather meaningless.

@ryo There will still be user accounts. You would just have the option to reply anonymously.

Imageboards already fulfill that niche to me. I'm fine with keeping the two things separate. Not sure that merging them is all that necessary.
