Wew lad!

:walmart: delivered my $98 order of groceries to the wrong address.

I watched them do it. At first I thought it was an unrelated order until they pulled off and my phone dinged saying my order was delivered.

The best part is they even took a photo of the order on the porch with clearly the wrong number on the door.

So I called :walmart: and spoke with a fine Indian gentleman. He asked for my order number and I gave it to him. He then asked if I saw the picture and I said I did but that it wasn’t my place and I don’t know where that is. Apparently he was looking at it too because he said, “oh boy, yeah, you’re $streetNumber and the photo is $differentStreetNumber… I’m terribly sorry but in this case the best we can do is offer a full refund. Give me a few minutes…”

We both spent about 5 minutes silent on the phone as I was texting @graf about what happened. Then he said he needed to put me on hold for about 2 minutes so he could talk to his supervisor. After about 2 minutes he came back and said a refund had been issued and I’ll see it on my bank statement within 5 business days but that it’ll probably be less. He apologised again and we hung up.

I then went over to the porch the stuff had been delivered to about 50 ft. (15 m) away and collected my free groceries.

And that’s the story about how I got free groceries today.

Also, to quote @graf:

Additionally, please enjoy Cornbread inspecting my groceries after I brought them into my apartment.

@sjw @graf Take one of the bags and flick it at him. It scares the shit out of them if you want to keep them out.
