midway did some bizarre shit for hardware, especially towards the end.

I'm talking a sound board that used a 68000 to drive a DAC in the mid 80s giving it a distinct "sampled" (but low quality) sound, it was ahead of it's time but the parent company was too busy pissing money away on casinos, resorts, and gyms, oh and the sound samples were usually shit.

@PhenomX6 Even the sprites for the NES game have odd sprite sizes.

I do have a soft-spot for Midway. They use to host flash versions of their games on their website. I played Spy Hunter and Root Beer Tapper all the time as a kid.
