Plot twist: There actually is no third way in economics. Either authority is centered in the sovereign, or it's distributed among property owners. Socialism is incoherent because it pretends the people can economically plan as one. There must be a single authority to execute a single plan. Fascism is just a command economy with a somewhat looser management style than Stalinism. The problems Distributists have with both Capitalism and Socialism are really just them not liking economies of scale requiring states/corporations of a certain size and complexity, and we aren't going back to a medieval agrarian economy.
@xianc78 This is true. But "Third Way" shit does pop up now and again, and I've yet to see any way where that actually works and doesn't just wind up being one or the other.

@ArdainianRight Most of the third-way economics I see is land-communism (aka Georgism).

@xianc78 How the fuck is Georgism still around when we've moved so far past a land-based economy?

@ArdainianRight Minarchist libertarians who want something like UBI but doesn't require big government/huge taxes. It's also seen as a "bridge" between right-libertarians and green socialists.
