@ArdainianRight Xenoblade 2 is home to a bunch of fully realized and unique civilizations, none of which are really evil (not even the one that becomes a Hostile Power later on, that's just the leader being a dick), and that pays off in terms of said comfy levels. Xenoblade 1 has a limited number of comfy areas because most Homs Colonies have been destroyed by the Mechon. Xenoblade 3's colonies generally become very comfy (especially Fiona and Valdi's colonies) once they've been freed and the party has proven itself to the soldiers.

@ChristiJunior Exactly. Man needs a homeland, a place to call his own, to belong, to fight for. There is no "Universal Man" or "Citizen of the World," everyone has a mother and father, a place and time of birth, and you need to create a feeling of "home" worth protecting to appeal to human instincts and create that kind of investment.

My libertarian views are from me being a paranoid conspiracy theorist. I'm not really a fan of weed, hippie shit, and stuff like that. And no, my mixed ancestry has nothing to do with it. It's just me realizing that ALL politicians are puppets.
