"Family values" are bullshit. And I'm not talking about valuing family. I'm talking about values that everyone in a family is supposed to all share.
Why should I share the same ideology as everyone else in my family. It doesn't make sense. It also prevents people from doing certain things because it "goes against their family values". It's just honor culture bullshit.
My father and his father agued bitterly, to the point where he left the house after high school partially because of it to move to another state with my Mum (this is why I happen to exist now).
It's all collectivist crap, anyway.
