While DRC was down I finally finished Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While several of its predecessor's problems still persist, it's easily a bigger and better game, improving on pretty much all of BotW's strong points, while somewhat fixing at least *some* of its flaws (primarily with regards to bosses and enemy variety). Overall, it's very much a worthy GOTY.

I also think the whole outcry over it costing 70 bucks is pretty ridiculous, considering the absurd amounts of content on offer that's actually polished and high-quality. I put some 170 hours into the game, and there are still plenty of Shrines left to uncover, sidequests to do, treasure to find etc. Even without doing truly crazy stuff like finding all the Koroks, this is something like a 200-300 hour game for completionists. Compared to most other games today, it's damn good value.

Now, there IS a legitimate argument to be made that there's no reason that TotK should cost 70 bucks when the likes of Xenoblade 2 and 3, and Smash Bros. Ultimate, only cost 60 bucks despite ALSO being extremely content-rich games of superior quality. However, I suspect that every single one of those games used DLC as a way to recoup some costs (quite aggressively so in the case of Smash Ultimate), seeing how they all had Day 1 DLC. TotK costs more, but it also doesn't have Day 1 DLC.

@ChristiJunior Take note that he says "bucks" as in dollars and not leu (Romania's official currency). More proof that Christi is just an American fed LARPing as a Romanian.

@xianc78 @ChristiJunior You LARP as a Chinese mongrel lolbertarian and a Croatian tranny bee, so everything is possible. :think_ultra:

@rasterman @ChristiJunior If I was just LARPing, I wouldn't do it on GameLiberty. I would do it on Poast, DRC, or any other instance that really hates libertarians. I'm actually well respected on GameLiberty. It's only you guys who hate my guts.

@xianc78 @Rasterman @ChristiJunior DRC is a radical free speech instance. Even if we bully lolberts we still have a strong libertarian streak if we're being honest.

@ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @rasterman Every libertarian take I make just gets me dogpiled by Poast these days. It was much better before Poast arrived.

@xianc78 @ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @Rasterman Ironically, if you read the historical Constitution of the old CSA, you will find that it closely mirrors the political convictions espoused by modern Libertarians. :loli_confederate2:

@admin @ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @rasterman But they still believed in a government. Minarchists will never be libertarians.

@admin @xianc78 @ArdainianRight @ChristiJunior @Rasterman True, since it was basically words words words saying "The landed gentry are in charge of everything", much like libertarianism!
