@Suzu Why are people still making Undertale/Mother clones?

@xianc78 because Reddit loves it and it makes the devs a lot of money
@Suzu @xianc78 Brb, making retarded undertale clone to steal redditor money.

@NotImportant @Suzu The market for Motherlikes is probably saturated at this point. Your game will just be drowning in the endless sea of Earthbound-like meta RPGs.

I'd say that a Paper Mario clone would be the better choice, since Bug Fables seemed to open the gates for games like that.

@xianc78 @NotImportant to be entirely fair, the game I've shown here is not just some "Motherlike". I mean, besides the "wacky story RPG", events and combats play more like Warioware, with a bunch of different minigames. So this one has something a bit different.

@Suzu @NotImportant Isn't Undertale's combat mostly minigames?

@xianc78 @NotImportant More or less. Undertale's combats basically involve you dodging bullets, but different enemies have different bullet patterns. But in the end, all you're doing is dodging bullets, and then either attacking or hugging the enemies depending on which story path you want to follow.
@xianc78 @NotImportant not that I remember. Maybe a couple puzzles outside the battles, and sometimes the "rules" for your heart movement doing the bullet dodging parts changed a bit.

In this game you have stuff like this in the battles: https://youtu.be/ugMZx-3pjrQ?t=29
