We are living in the hilarious timeline where you probably have more privacy posting with a username on a fedi instance than you do posting on the anonymous imageboard. This is by design of course.

@xianc78 yeah but they're so low profile you don't hear about "guy who posts on anon imageboard gets feds raiding his place" with those.
