So what does people think the new Switch playtest is?

Better online architecture and testing rollback online code with whatever games they can?

Miiverse 2?

A new particular game (this late?)

Nobody, NOBODY expected the mysterious "USB-C accessory" to be the Alarmo
@coolboymew I actually think the Alarmo is kinda cool, I really hope people figure out how to hack it and get custom content on it
@grey I don't hate it. In a world where tech became boring as shit, this is kinda fresh

Unfortunately it's an uphill battle to sell it to most people, as people just use their phone as an alarm clock. I think the screen was a tad overkill and they could've saved maybe 30ish$ and it would been a much better price

But I don't hate it
@coolboymew @grey I don't get it. It's a clock. What more features can I ask for a clock. If you jam other stuff into my clock it's just going to increase the chance that it will crash or something.
@eric @grey Gentle waking up clock, sleeping sounds and sleep trackers are actually an already existing market, and Nintendo is definitively putting a unique twist to that market right now

@coolboymew @eric @grey That market doesn't need to innovate any further because shock alarms are the best way to guarantee that you will wake up on time.

@xianc78 @eric @grey the price is worse than the Alarmo. This is 100% what I mean when I say that tech is fucking terrible lately. Seriously, this price for that? And it's on "supposed" heavy discount? Come on now
@xianc78 @eric @grey

>Customize Shock Clock with our amazing app: View your sleep activity, control the alarm, and set your preferred wake-up routines.

Absolutely end my fucking life dude. You pay this much and you're still uselessly using a stupid app (because it's the mechanism in which they'll steal your data)

@coolboymew @eric @grey I don't own this thing in particular, but I remember seeing similar products on the market, but without the botnet and reasonable price.

Follow

@coolboymew @eric @grey I don't get why this is the only shock alarm on the market right now. It's a simple concept, even though it's a niche market.

I've heard of people modifying their alarm clocks to deliver shocks or shoot water and them.

@xianc78 @coolboymew @eric there used to be one that had a vibration puck that you'd put under your pillow and would combine a super loud alarm with the hard vibration. but that was a normal alarmclock, not some online app trash.
@grey @xianc78 @eric there was a bunch of that in the related section when I checked the watch on amazon
if you guys want a smart watch that doesn’t suck just get a garmin

@HWABAG @eric @grey @coolboymew It's not about smart watches, but alarms that actually get you up.

they make ones that roll off your table and keep beeping loudly until you grab it to reset it

@HWABAG @eric @grey @coolboymew I used to just use my laptop. Put it on my desk so that I had to walk over to it to turn it off, but I don't have a bedroom desk anymore.

they’re relatively cheap compared to a samsung or apple watch, they have more expensive options like tactix or fenix
@coolboymew @HWABAG @eric @grey @xianc78
Tomtom is way more expensive than Garmin in France. That's what I got for a senior and she's very happy.
@HWABAG @coolboymew @xianc78 @eric i've got a Garmin watch, but it's not an alarm clock of any sort
