I really hate the whole concept of body language. It's just basically you unconsciously expressing yourself and even then, it doesn't paint an accurate picture of what you are truly thinking or feeling. Some people are oblivious to it while others are extremely sensitive to it.
When I was a kid, I got in trouble multiple times for "displaying inappropriate body language to teachers" and I never knew what I did wrong.

I thought the problem with autists was that they could not shut down the body language analyzing part of their brains, so they had to never look in the eyes when talking for fear of reading too much about the person's body language !

The idea of body language is precisely that you can't control it.
Unless you are a Con Man. And even that takes years of practice.
@TheMadPirate @icedquinn Society expects you to act nice to anyone who isn't a complete asshole or downright evil. That includes giving out body language that implies compassion and gratitude, so you are expected to fake body language sometimes. Anyone who has ever worked in fast food or retail can tell you this.
Why would anyone want to fake compassion or gratitude with a bossy bitch manager who scolds you and tries to guilt trip you for the consequences of her mistakes?

@TheMadPirate @icedquinn Some managers are pretty laid-back depending on the job. Customers are unpredictable and will try to search for a single flaw in their service quality in order to report it to the manager/corporate so they can get a free meal or a discounted item.
Explains why most cashiers at hyper markets look like they are ought to kill someone.
@TheMadPirate @icedquinn I think there is a pretty good reason why so many people would rather use self-checkout lanes. People would rather interact with a machine than someone giving out fake smiles.

I rather prefer a human solve my credit card issues than dealing with a WhatsApp bot.
