Right, but I've heard claims that Trump's primary backer, Peter Thiel is the greatest libertarian hero ever, even though he has tons of deep state connections (read James Corbett's recent series of essays if you want to learn more) and buys politicians which is something libertarians are supposed to be against.
Yes, the libertarian movement should call out frauds like LP candidates, Gary Johnson and Chase Oliver, but I almost never see any of them call out technocrats like Peter Thiel or Elon Musk who LARP as libertarians (or some other niche ideology like populist) to make themselves look like one of the good guys.
Also, people (including libertarians) are putting WAY too much faith in Trump and his cabinet, thinking that he will actually drain the swamp this time, even going as far as claiming that Musk will end the fed. That is a very huge ask and that is not going down easily, even if Trump is truly on our side.
@gabriel I've read it, but I don't think crypto in general is a ponzi scheme. Sure there are a lot of cryptocurrencies that are scams, but there are some good cryptocurrencies like Monero. I think using crypto as an investment rather than a medium of exchange is a ponzi scheme, however.
Trump, Musk, and Thiel may promote Bitcoin, but I will assure you that they will never acknowledge the existence of privacy coins like Monero or decentralized digital currencies that aren't cryptocurrencies like GNU Taler.
Interesting...
Just because it is not likely that MicroStrategy will be forced to sell Bitcoin, what is much more likely to happen, in our view, is that it becomes in MicroStrategy shareholder interests for the company to sell Bitcoin. Right now the stock is trading at a huge premium to NAV. If this premium becomes a discount, which is pretty much inevitable at some point, and cash bonds repayments are due, then it would be in the best interests of shareholders to sell Bitcoin to raise the money. However, while the stock is trading at a premium, there is the “infinite money glitch” and no reason to sell Bitcoin. But this glitch will not last forever.

Did you ever read the manifesto of the guy who self-immolated outside the Trump trial?
More and more I think he was on to something
