If there is one good thing to say about these LA riots it is that unlike the "Summer of Love" from 5 years ago, we don't have a bunch of celebrities and corporations virtue signaling about the event, which makes these riots easier to ignore.
@PurpCat I think the worst part was that you had TV channels going off the air and online-only games shutting their servers down just to make everyone reflect on the situation.
To me that is no different than the so-called "morning periods" that the DPRK has.
@xianc78 There's also the fact that this is harder to get people to care about like the George Floyd thing was; where they managed to successfully manufacture consensus over a single event and I remember them trying to before that as well (the "jogger" case anyone?).
I can go to many chats and they're not caring about this.
