Feeling a bit of FOMO from refusing to have a Facebook account for years.
It's weird to ask the fedi about this, but does having a facebook account actually matter in 2025?
Ironically I think Facebook Marketplace is what I'm missing out the most on because many people refuse to use anything else... 😮‍💨

@gabriel I'm lucky that my extended family decided to use SMS group chats in place of Facebook, even if some of them still use it.

I don't know much about Facebook Marketplace. I still see plenty of ads on my local craigslist, even if they items they're selling require a bit of a drive.

@xianc78 @gabriel it killed off CL in most of the world, especially with normies hearing about scammers and "craigslist killers" and the sleezy side of CL taking a big hit.

Sam Hyde still uses it to find actors infamously though. That's how he got people for Extreme Peace.
