Looking back on it, I'm actually kind of glad that I have never created or contributed to a *major* open-source project, even though I could've been a huge skill and resume booster because had I been a micro-eceleb in that field, I would've had a nasty encounter with the usual suspects sooner or later and that would've ended my career right there.

Though I do regret not brushing up my programming skills for the past decade. Was way too suckered into the current events going on at the time even though they didn't affect me and it really distracted me from doing what I truly loved.

@xianc78 I contribute a bit to FOSS projects, while I wouldn't consider any of them that big, I don't do under a known name on fediverse

@kumicota Well, given that they see everything through a political lens, they can still cancel you, even if you don't have a social media presence connected to your FOSS presence.

By my principles, I object to including CoCs or banning people for off-site conduct and that makes me cancel-worthy right there.
