@theorytoe Oh definitely, it's REALLY bad with music because aside from AI slop basically managing to optimize what the KLF manual was about (but with the incompetence of third worlders), you've got samey music, the same bands from the 90s/00s that didn't have singers overdose putting out samey sounding songs, bands that sound like older bands putting out samey sounding songs, etc.
I'm sure part of why Linkin Park was brought back was because record labels needed more Linkin Park and that's why they were releasing archive tracks. Then they pulled a Black Sabbath and put an entirely different lead singer instead of a sound-alike because they know regardless of whatever artistic choice they make they can shit on a CD and it'll sell.
It just doesn't work as well for gaming because well look how cookie cutter all the SAGExpo games are. They're the gaming version of the Isekai writer having to implement mechanics into a fiction story or Solo Leveling, they're made by autists who cannot think of the world in a normal way and who've never lived life.

@theorytoe and to add to that, the one thing that stuck out to me was some hack indie dev thinking "We need to mimic Pokemon's battle simulators".
That's the most autistic and boring thing I can think of as someone who grew up playing Pokemon games because the console ones always felt incomplete except for Colosseum/XD, which were actual RPGs and not just "play pokemon battles on your TV". If you wanted to get big go make like a PMD ripoff of or something.

Except it wouldn't be a PMD ripoff. It would simply be a MD ripoff. Mystery Dungeon is a roguelike series that predates Pokemon, and is licensed to other series as roguelike spinoffs.
