@p You should be able to set the HEAP, but once a disk it stores indices on reaches 85% usages it starts shitting the bed about low watermark.

@xyfdi Yeah, I just think the default's stupid: most people that are deploying it in production will have a tuned config (and thus will set the heap themselves), and you want sensible defaults if you are running it in a dev environment. (As far as disk there's almost no chance that it'll actually fill up because there are only a few thousand records to index.)

@p That's doable. If you name the indices with a date stamp you can run a curator process that can either close or nuke these indices. 🙂

@xyfdi I figure I can just wipe the contents of the data directory and restart.
