there is a 50% chance that if i lose another 50 or so pounds it will go away though and i can eat potato again (albeit in more reasonable quantity than before.)
@xyfdi@shebang yeah it's especially a pain since commercial food is so full of cheap and empty carbs.
fam has decided she wants to lose weight too and is like how are you doing this and i'm just like
well my diet consists of "eat tuna fish and mayonaise" although lately i have been taking these weight loss pills which consists of grapefruit extract or something.

there are a couple like virta clinic where they basically make strategic use of starvation diets to shock the system in to reducing insulin sensitivity and then basically run keto with a telemedicine service. i read one of their whitepapers (pubmed, iirc) but i'm not a customer.
those might be okay for people with money since you're checking in with doctors regularly.
