I guess I’m enthralled with reading about the exploits of other, greater men.

Not that I want to emulate them, per se, or to have been in their place, or to have survived in the engagements they were in.

Just to have been there would have been enough; To have been there and died.

Better than continuing to live on in our decaying, virtually hopeless societies.
