When I was still using Facebook, and still considered myself more "right-wing" inclined, I got into numerous arguments with people who insisted Trump's "they're eating the cats and dogs" comments were true.

I told them that, as I watch police bodycam footage on Youtube, I remember the exact case he was citing, and went through the entire event. I even linked the actual video.

Nothing I said changed their minds. To them, it was Haitian illegal Joe Biden immigrants eating cats and dogs (in reality it was an American citizen from a neighboring locality who was high on crack or something and killed a local's pet, in the video footage this is even confirmed by witnesses who say she's a relative of theirs).

After this, someone posted a video of a person from the Balkans roasting a goat on a spit and said they were eating dogs. I pointed out that I've had goat before, and part of my family are from the region, and that was a goat roasting over an open fire (standard Balkan BBQ).

Only like 2 people agreed with me after I posted a video of the exact same type of set-up in Bosnia. The rest insisted it was a dog.
