@RealHotTake @m Fighting corruption with more corruption only leads to a net increase in corruption. Fighting authoritarianism with more authoritarianism only leads to more authoritarianism. If you sacrifice your values to "win" a fight to protect them, you've already lost. But really, it doesn't seem like your values are worth fighting for anyway.

But let me ask you this when it comes to "muh values and shiiiet" Was it ok to sacrifice values about human decency, right to life, etc in order to fight the nazis and firebomb their civilians JUST SO that the allies would win? And if so, why should we let our political opponents walk allover us and grab all the power just so that we can say "well, i might be in a gulag now, dying of starvation, but at least i never ever compromised any of my values lololololol"

Universal principles is just a scam the left pushes on us so that they can win and the right pushes on us so they don’t have to stand for anything. I have grown out of that mindset and have become pragmatic.
YES bad books should be burned, books that promote degeneracy, homosexuality, porn, socialism, etc. ban that shit and protect society.
The problem with the right is that we don’t mind losing, as long as we played fair, and that’s why we ALWAYS lose.
