Honestly i like the new UI a lot better.
I can probably work around 500 characters, I do on mstdn.social, it's not great but you can do it. I type too much anyway.
But performance imho is much better and I like the retractable menu and especially how a whole thread loads right away. Very fast and snappy.
I want to see performance on long threads with many users
@fluffy I'd trade at least 6 million of my character limit to have this feature. That's the most I can sacrifice while staying above 10mil.
