all it takes is one guy with too much time on their hands to false flag and shut down every independent site you like including most fediverse instances. federation didn't stop all the webring boards from being kicked off their hosts and domains in the same week for no other reason than a report claiming they are 8chan (even though 8chan already exists).

@mono god I wish I was fucking joking, one random asshole managed to kill multiple unrelated sites just by claiming they're all 8chan. It's fucking insane. When does this fucking nightmare end? I just want to talk about video games, and the entire god damn world wants to prevent it.
