@sim @happymoomoo The explanation I've seen is that if you never get sick your immune system never builds up an ability to fight illness. Which makes sense on its own, but this is an illness where it would be much better to avoid catching in the first place.

@happymoomoo @sim Looking at the massive number dead and the long term effects even in survivors made it obvious, no one needed to tell me.
@Galena @happymoomoo Yeah, I was really hoping this would be caught and isolated quickly so very few would get it, but it seems to have really spread more easily all over the world. Pretty insane.

1) The statistics have been greatly exaggerated -- for example, since there's financial incentive for doctors to proclaim death by covid while under their care, everyone who died of ANYTHING but having even one symptom resembling covid (even if they had regular old pneumonia) is put on record as having died of covid.

@Galena @happymoomoo It does... but to be honest, it doesn't seem to have really helped me out. Because I get sick every year, and I'm knocked down for weeks.
