Dirty bomb = conventional explosive plus radioactive material, designed to scatter that material to toxify an area rather than create a fusion or fission detonation.
Yep. The main problem is the cleanup. Sure, a lot of people get sick and die over the next four decades, but you also have a large area that is now a radioactive toxic waste dump.

I am a benevolent sociopath. If all humans under 115 IQ points went into the chipper, it would not bother me. In fact, I think it is the best chance for human survival.
Personally, I prefer softer methods.
@amerika @prouddegenerate @MossyRock It would bother me, but the net result would he quite positive. A thought experiment I put myself through rigorously, trade life to save life. I have reached a stoic position which is why I am so inactive. I sit and I watch. I have a hard time justifying any kind of action that would have any effect on the ending of the story. But in times of crisis I act despite fear, I've been tested in reality and passed. I know I'll help another person even if it means I could die. I hate and love that about myself.
