If corporations are allowed on fedi, I feel like we'll eventually lose everything we enjoy about fedi.
We'd have data gathering without our consent that they'd sell and profit off of, we'd have social media integration that would allow Musk and Zuck to gather data here as well, law enforcement would have a much more invested interest in using that data since fedi is hard to secure.

@eris Isn't the point of federation that we can just block their instances? So they'll be existing in their own bubble, advertising to no one but each other.
@Jazzy_Butts They don't need to federate to us to scrape our data as people already have unblockable scrapers. We have to basically drive down the profit incentive to come here at all to prevent it with aggressive anti-corporate sentiments and harassment of anyone who tries
@Jazzy_Butts that's what I mean, if we harass off corpos and create a culture where people largely feel they should stick to Twitter for capitalist stuff then less corpos would migrate here or want our data
