you should look into reverse-isekais where mc is the bad guy/demon lord/etc. most are still just low-tier power fantasies, but some are pretty good.
forget the name but one's a webcomic, mc goes to save world and become a hero and all, but finds out its literally just a training/test period to make heroes. he fails bc of some stupid reason, has to restart from scratch, gets pissed off, and then he starts acting like a douche. refuses to put up with bullshit, saves the world on his own, then gets a failing grade again and has to do it all over... and keeps doing this, becoming more and more evil bc they expect him to be stupid generic cliched hero type and he's too rational and fed up with the bs.
it's kinda shitty, almost chinese-comic tier, but it gets funny and there's actual character development and a slap in the face to basically every trope.
