and this obsession with "staying hydrated" has gotten side-railed away from being healthy to poisoning people with too much water and no electrolytes/salt and then all that mineral water jack is just more excuses to feed us industrial wastes.
you wanna drink healthy, distill your water. all of it. and keep a balanced intake of salt and other stuff to go with it. and dont sit there chugging water bottles all fucking day unless you're doing heavy labor and actually sweating/pissing that much. (saying that as a guy who used to flood hazmat suits and boots with enough sweat to literally refill several bottles every day)
@bitterblossom the bit at the end about the suits reminds me that the guy who played Herman Munster in The Munsters had to drink like gallons of fucking lemonade to keep his electrolytes up because he would sweat so much under the lights in that fucking suit, the things people suffer through for work
but then, most of the older fatties doing that sorta work are americans with heavily salted diets so it sorta balances out.
gatorade got shit on for a while because of its sugar and salt but it's still literally the best thing to drink for "sports" and that sorta stuff that makes you sweat.
also eat bananas, you need potassium.
at the cellular level, we need a certain amount of salt and potassium, but salt gets too concentrated and it's potassium that basically swaps places with salt molecules to keep that balance. bananas are cheap as fuck too so unless somebody is somehow allergic to them, everybody should be eating more bananas.
@bitterblossom Gatorade is great but only if you're actually doing stuff like you said because when I was a fatty as a kid and I was drinking Gatorade and doing nothing my ankles swelled the fuck up because of the salt
i have drunk from a power washer before.
it is painful.
it blasted most of the dirt off my face almost instantly.
