@Jazzy_Butts perhaps, but it is also believed that the body is a gift from God, and that it must be maintained. additionally, Christ Himself was a carpenter, and, as such , was likely "fucking ripped". as such bodybuilding is not contradictory to Christianity, but rather harmonic with it.

vanity (bodily pride) is still bad in excess though. but not all body builders are vain (although most of the ones you hear about probably are!)
