@driftwood Tmnt=childhood show, splinter=good father figure (didn't have one), him being a bottom=reclaiming sexual identity that father attempted to subvert, him being a rat man=safe being to be with since I have been betrayed by humans not animals but I want a good father figure and a literal animal can't give advice, his age=wanting to reclaim power that was taken away from me by older people, his seeming undesirability=I have low self esteem and feem like splinter would know he couldn't do any better than me so he wouldn't leave, that's all I can think of
