sorry but how fucking stupid do you have to be to NOT believe in endo systems or tulpas? the human brain is so insanely powerful and we barely understand it. the idea of someone being able to create altered states of consciousness at will or even split aspects of their brain into different persons is not far fetched in the slightest.
phycologists who believe the human mind can be wrapped up in the dsm 5 and nothing else as well as people whose understanding of the brain is highschool biology need to stop trying to justify their "cringe" feelings with "facts" that simply do not exist.

@abortionsauce i love the traumagentic extremists who claim that their beliefs are based on "what the professionals think" when the professionals regularly debate on whether or not DID is real in the first place

@grumpy @abortionsauce It COULD be real, or they could be faking, or it could be a memory problem and not an "identity" problem, or it really could be an identity problem, I adhere to occums razor, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it's a duck, I have not met anyone with multiples who has been able to convince me they actually had splits and weren't just a special snowflake in need of validation and attention (which is a big deal, I'm being cheeky but my intent is not to minimize anyone's issues).

I think if someone wanted to fake something for attention (which is actually sometimes linked to a disorder that's name is slipping me at the moment) I think cancer might be a better option, and if you're afab maybe a string of miscarriages. there's alot of shit you can get genuine sympathy points for. - 🔋
