@nhk At least they're trying. I rarely try things because I'm scared of messing up, like how they clearly don't know how to optimize things, if it were me I would recognize that and give up instead of trying due to trying resulting in an unsatisfactory product. That's why my life sucks, I think. I don't try enough. I don't fail enough. I'm afraid to fail so I don't try.
@nhk I kind of wish games were so realistic that you could hypothetically record your playthrough, and then upon review go somewhere else entirely in the world, and watch something like an animal or an npc just do their thing and it's all coherent and linear and is displayed and not done "kind of" or behind the scenes or under the hood. The whole point would be to start a world, do your thing, and then go back and watch how the world went about, the really cool part would be when stuff you did comes up upon repeat viewings. Like if you do enough heroic shit you might see an npc in their living room and they organically see a news story about you, and then even if you want you could follow that line all the way to the news station (which would be organically displayed and calculated in real time) and see the news station people doing their thing. Then you could follow the news guy home or something and his marriage isn't good and he jacks it to dark shit or whatever it's a simulated world the sky is the limit. That's my dream game. A perfect simulator.
