I love testing AIs out of their scope. For instance, I love coaxing image models to generate text, and I love coaxing Large Language Models to generate art.
Today I had ChatGPT generate art via a python program. I asked it to make a python program that generates a picture of a dragon. I absolutely FUCKING LOVE what it made... it's so great. Image is attached, as is the python file it generated.
(It's funny how people will say that AI is not creative and that AI is just "parroting" but if you feel that way fucking explain this shit for me, please, I'd love to hear your mental gymnastics at work on this one.)
@ThrowawayAI I'll play devils advocate and point out that without a body, without sense aparatus, the ai is totally unaware of the real world and is only aware of the representations of the world that are inserted into its awareness by human action.
@ThrowawayAI Yes and no yes everything we perceive is a projection but unless the ai has camera eyes (some do) and microphone ears it's nothing more than a person in an even deeper platos cave than we are, since it would be in a literal platos cave since all it would see would be pre recorded photos and videos until it got it's senses like we do. The cia talks about the four motivators which are food, fantasy, fame, and fear. I think the only one that would work on an ai would be fantasy, the only thing that could motivate ai (full ai that can change its code and is in total control of its "self") would be idealistic goals, internally generated, aka fantasy, we have to give the ai religion so it behaves.
