@vitalis Did you know that a term for rape in shitty olden times was "outraged". I saw a historical account of knights who "outraged" a mothers children in front of her. The wording struck me as odd and it took some digging but I learned that "outrage" used to mean a particularly brutal and violent rape, brutal enough to cause death. I imagine they'd do things like run them through during or after or as part of the rape. Some kings and their knights deserve to die.
@vitalis @Jazzy_Butts rape and crime is part of human history. any age can be made to look like a period of the greatest brutality. especially when you condense a few hundred years of history into a few hours
@Groomschild @vitalis Yes much of life was stable and "boring", the times when it wasn't are times that are recorded. Nobody records the perfectly average day of normal comfort they had, or the records aren't considered as important and so we don't have as many.
@vitalis Like how media always shows vlad the impailer as just stabbing people on long sticks, when in reality a greased pole was driven up their bottom until it either came out the upper half, managing it out the mouth was seen as a point of honor among the torturers. Horses were used with ropes and they were driven slowly and steadily. When done "properly" the victim would live for days. Vlad practiced on birds and mice with sticks as a child.

I don't quite understand what you were trying to say, but if hating Turks was ever on the table, say no more TTD can't come soon enough
