In the United States, Antifa is a movement that involves people dressed in all black, wearing masks, and silently fighting right-wing groups (such as the Proud Boys) before disappearing, but in Japan, people who call themselves Antifa use the word in its original sense of "those who oppose fascism," so the two are completely different.

The Case of Antifa in Japan
- A group of leftists who openly protest in front of train stations, showing their faces.
The Case of Antifa in the US
- "They only get together for the occasion, but they never talk to each other and aren't even a group."
- A "movement," not an "organization."
Without a leader or chain of command, they gather independently and disband without knowing each other's names, faces, or contact information.
