Bluesky has released their 2025 transparency report, where they explain how they are “keeping the site safe.” Bluesky has been known to ban MAPs just for existing, and not for expressing any specific views. The report specifically states they remove “child exploitation content,” with automated systems, and for content that requires context and nuance, they are reviewed by human moderators.

When MEDAL tried to appeal on behalf of several MAP accounts that were banned, the Bluesky moderation team never returned contact.
While Bluesky is generally a great online social network to express progressive ideas, it has been very hostile toward MAPs, simply for the crime of existing. Bluesky has stonewalled calls for an open dialogue and accountability.
