@orekix @rice @moonman @nik taxing rent is nothing but effectively raising rent prices. Say a house costs $500/mo to rent, and the government imposes a 10% rent tax. It simply means rent goes up to $560/mo, the government is a little richer, and the tennant is a little more fucked. No one except the minister or secretary in charge of allocating that extra tax money gains anything from it.
