Everything Elon is doing is intended to lay the groundwork for making the Red Planet a White Planet. He grew up in South Africa, so he knows better than anyone what happens when you let niggers take over your society, and concluded that the only solution is to get off this planet. Thus he's spent his life building Space-X to get us to Mars, and Tesla to give us transportation on Mars. You can't run an internal combustion engine without oxygen, after all.
