I like your description of this problem. I do disagree completely, but I do hope to describe my side without malice, and I hope you read it knowing I am not trying to attack you.

But in my opinion the descruction of clear gender roles is the main reason you're getting so much resistance. A modern man does not have any acceptable place in this de-genderified hierarchy. You offered pushing a "fluidity of gender", but there is the exact same problem.

As long as you keep destroying any chance for a men to place themselves into a proper and fufilling order, you cannot expect them to accept this, because it would mean a psychological hell for them.
