My hesitation is when the cops charge the anti-lock downs as riots.
@average_random_joe @Stridermcperson Did the protest against gun bills in Virginia lead to riots?

Being arrested isn't you being guilty of it. You are innocent until proven guilty. And while the 2A protest didn't, people defined the anti-lock down as just that and claimed they were killing grandma. Charlottesville was pretty close as are that prayer patriot group or proud boys seem to be rioting as well. I am just VERY cautious in expanding government powers, even if it looks like it will be used properly NOW doesn't mean it always will.

Exactly. You have to give up the illusion of you having any rights.
One day, they will come knocking at your doors. That day, you will have only 1 right. A right for a glorious last stand.
And no matter how many lows you broke or how rich you are. When the other guys have guns, your total ammount of rights drops to 1... Get ready to use it ![]()

This is for me one of the best scenes in the entire Nolan Batman trilogy, because it shows EXACTLY how you should be looking at the social contracts. As long as they are working, they do seem unbreakable, but when someone decides to ignore them, they are gone instantly.
