@Hayashimo There's a number somewhere in the config but I wish I could fistfight pinned posts.
@p On Gab you can pin multiple posts. I check profiles before following and more than one pinned post is a good filter.
He's talking about me. I reminded him I unfollowed him on Gab for being a subversive in Ricky Vaughn's orbit, so he also just forced me to unfollow him on FSE. Very weakminded. #WhiteSamsonOption @judgedread @p
@WhitesAdvocate @judgedread I don't know what is a Ricky Vaughn or a white Samson option is or what @judgedread was purportedly subverting, but please enjoy this gif of orbital paths over the course of a single Jovian year (4,332 days, just short of twelve terrestrial years), demonstrating Jupiter's effect on the asteroid belt.

Why is there a triangle? There shoudn't be any triangle in spece...
@LukeAlmighty @p @WhitesAdvocate @judgedread Gravitatory fields are vector fields. Which means that two masses can create gravitatory fields that, at some point in space cancel each other both in direction and strength. Those points in space are called "Lagrange Points". Things got more complicated with a Three Body Problem though since the gravitatory equations become insanely difficult to solve.

@LukeAlmighty @WhitesAdvocate @judgedread @p Between the Earth and the Moon there are only 5 places where the total gravitational field is effectively zero.
