How to make a movie review:
1) Note how the main characters clothing is changing color throughout the movie.
Dark = bad, Light = good
Bonus points: destroyed clothing means hardship
2) Note every single book that is mentioned in the movie. If the book is about the same topic as the movie, don't forget to say how deep and timeless the original book was, instead of realizing, that listing your inspiration does not excuse lazy writing.
3) No matter what the movie essential message you got, look up the director's interview, where he says the simplified version of his moral question.
The director spent years crystalizing his thoughts into a perfect story. Of course their immediate reaction under immense social pressure will be more accurate.
4) If main character was woman/gay/black... You know what to do... ![]()
5) If the movie is based on a book, do not forget to mention every single difference between the two.

Now, if you followed all the steps correctly, you got... shit.
I do not care about your politics and I do not care about the book. I want to know how good the movie was. The perfectly cut scenes created to make emotional response and highlight moral dilemas. That is what I care about. ![]()
