Part of what’s been frustrating is the idea that stupid Republican politicians will try to “fix” this problem. We already HAVE solutions, they just want to steamroll over us.

Actually yes.
Companies are gathering public opinion on social media.
People are being hired based on posts.
People are loosing jobs and even bank accounts based on outrage mobs.
Social media set avaiable informations. Informations form opinions. Opinions conquer nations.
This is way more dangerous then most can imagine.
