@RUSHIFA
I get the feeling. I am a geek after all.

But why is it always Harry Potter? I mean, it has one of the single worst cases of lazy world building I have ever seen. Even after ~9 books, most fans cannot answer even the most basic questions, thaat the entire story depends uppon.

@LukeAlmighty @RUSHIFA Like what? I only watched 10 minutes of one of the movies but changed the channel, as the cinematography was too dark and gritty and off-putting.

@rasterman @RUSHIFA
I just love to ask HP fans "Why did people follow Voldemort?"

You always get either:"Cuz they were afraid" or "For the same reason people followed Hitler" (while being unable to tell that reason either).

@LukeAlmighty @rasterman @RUSHIFA WE MUST DESTROY THE WIZARD ARiSTOCRACY!! THEY FORCE US INTO MORAL AND RELIGIOUS SUBJUGATION!

@LukeAlmighty @RUSHIFA LMAO :bloblaugh:

So they have a villain but no explanation as to why he has henchmen?

I guess that lady just wanted to write about magic kids.

@rasterman @RUSHIFA
It's kinda important, since Voldemort did not have just 'henchmen'. He had an army and influence huge enough to topple government in minutes, establish order and hold it for years.

That kind of loyal army does not appear out of nowhere.

@LukeAlmighty @RUSHIFA Oh, I see. I'd be interested in knowing how the villain got to that point.

So there's nothing from the author explaining the backstory of Voldemort?

Like... NOTHING?
@LukeAlmighty @RUSHIFA Really? Do people care that much about Harry Potter?

I kind of see why it's so easy to compare that character to Hitler when it's just a matter of filling in the blanks with a shallow character.
@LukeAlmighty @rasterman @RUSHIFA
Shhhh no questions. He's just bad ok. We like, learned that in middleschool and then again in highschool. Weimar Republic? What's that?

@rasterman @LukeAlmighty @RUSHIFA Harry Potter seemed to me like a fantasy version of Futurama — except not funny. An amalgamation of various different tropes and cliches. Except, while Futurama could be serious and even sad when it wanted to be, at the end of the day, it was still a fun, humorous, colorful cartoon. Harry Potter, as you noticed, wasn’t just played straight, but all grim-dark as well.

@echo @rasterman @LukeAlmighty @RUSHIFA harry potter is satanic mind poison for children

it's obvious why libtards love it so much- they have hatred and jealousy of the nuclear family, and instead prefer to escape into the a delusional world of witchcraft

plus they're insane to begin with so they identify with it on that level
