@StampedingLonghorn @thor They do lack the corruption. Financially, the planned budget of the United States in 2021 is close to
$5 trillion. For one, with Lobbyists being called "The 4th Branch of the US Government", you have a system that is rife with corruption. And that is just at the Federal level.
@merisser @StampedingLonghorn it took me a while to realise that the US, seen by many as a beacon of democracy and liberty, is more corrupted than much of northern Europe. much about how the US is run, and how many people live, resembles less developed countries than the US is supposed to be.
@merisser @StampedingLonghorn meanwhile, the EU resembles the US federal government at times. a bit inept and far removed from things, minus the corruption and military industrial complex, that is.

I know what you're talking about...
2 years ago, I had an option to study abroad. So I looked at the countries, and realized, just how crazy the laws and culture are all around the world.
I ended up with list of about 3 countries that didn't seem completely crazy.
