:people are loosing jobs because of covid.
NO, people are loosing jobs because of government overreach.
Kids cannot go to school cuz covid.
NO, it is cuz government.

Can you clarify your point? It sounds like you're saying Lockdowns dont impact the economy, but that can't be right..

Like you pointed out in your first post people fail to see what could be described as a root problem.
And you partly do to. One of the problems isn't that the economy is in bad shape, it already was before the Chinese virus. The problem is that people want to be able to live/pay their bills/loans/taxes because they want to be able to feed themselves and not loose the property they have.
To who ? you might ask. The banks and government. The exact same entities who trashed the economy multiple times over the past decades.

@LukeAlmighty you aren’t the only one at all. any time my gf says something happened cuz of covid she either catches herself and says “i mean, govt action”, or i say it. we’re both pissed.
