Properties of democracy the way I understand it:
1) It gives every single government desision an artificial veil of consensus...
2) It makes voters capable of choosing their tyrant based only on lies, and most people don@t even realize they're givving the keys to army.
3) It hides the true target most people should be angry at when bad things happen.

Politicians know they need that to get coverage and remain popular among the mass. Specially those ones who don’t do anything useful. Most smart people know them at their own countries.
