@realcaseyrollins Interestingly, in Canada, they keep trying to force the damn things on me.

I don’t have ADHD! I was tested when I was a kid, and I’m not even remotely in the area of that. I was on the opposite end. I’m Dyslexic, not AD&D for fuck sakes.

School was boring because school is for the dumbest people. Not because there is something wrong with me not to find some dumb skank blabbing in a classroom boring, because the school itself is fucking dumb.

@shebang Yeah, I hear that happens in the States too. It's probably why I've never been diagnosed tbh, my parents know that #ADHD is overdiagnosed and even tho my parents suspected I had it, they didn't want me to be diagnosed if I didn't have it, and they forgot about it once I coped with the symptoms on my own

I was diagnosed as a child, and I still have no idea what the medication is even supposed to do.

Just live your life. If hyper-focus combined with wide array of micro hobbies is a disease, then what even should a healthy person look like?

I am honestly asking, since every so called "symptom" makes me better at my job anyway...

@LukeAlmighty @shebang

It can be hard for me to focus on one thing for a really long time, especially on something boring (but sometimes interesting things too, I have trouble binge gaming most videogames while others have no trouble doing that). In my worst moments when it comes to focus, I can do nothing but focus on what I'm not trying to do at the moment.

My worst symptom at the moment is memory. Sometimes my memory can be absolutely AWFUL, and I can forget things I either planned to do or something I was asked to do, sometimes even moments earlier. I have noticed that taking care of my mental health has helped a lot, but I've also been writing stuff in my calendar and such to keep myself from forgetting things.
