:drakk_like: High effort free based software.
:drake_dislike: High budget cringe buggy paid software... but pirated with viruses . :blobpirate:

@Nonetrix @feli I will agree to disagree.
I've had a very different experience with free software.

I thow this is just one example, and that there is always an opposite, but I still remember when I was learning to work with Blender on my toaster laptop, and I needed Cinema 4D in school.

Just to find out that it was less stable, 30 times slower, lacked the fast key layout and most importantly.... it did not even ran on my laptop.

And by less stable, I mean I saved a model I worked on for hours, and loaded a different one. :alexjonesfight:

never again.

@LukeAlmighty@gameliberty.club @SystemSock@unexpected.singleuser.club @feli@universe.feliver.se I've heard a lot of movies are moving to blender as well I've only used it a little but is very nice honestly need to learn more about 3D modeling especially if I want to make a game or something

@Nonetrix @LukeAlmighty @feli Blender took leaps and strides since I first looked into it, years ago.
Quickly becoming industry standard.

Drawing apps are all well and good, but I'm looking for something with the capabilities to replace PowerPoint, and I have yet to see anything come close.
@SystemSock @Nonetrix @LukeAlmighty @feli onlyoffice has a powerpoint module. what features of powerpoint are you looking for?

in my unwelcome opinion we shouldn't bother cloning powerpoint we should be cloning hypercard :blobcatgigglesmirk:

@icedquinn@blob.cat @SystemSock@unexpected.singleuser.club @LukeAlmighty@gameliberty.club @feli@universe.feliver.se yeah no one uses the newest features of office to mostly works hell even older versions of office are still usable pretty sure

@icedquinn @LukeAlmighty @Nonetrix @feli
A) Windows using boomer can open it.
B) Has slides.
C) Has animations.
D) Supports images transparency, and tinting.

For starters.
PowerPoint has a ton of features I don't even know about, but my boss uses on the regular.
I'm the dev, not the marketing, so I suspect the list is much longer.

@SystemSock @feli @Nonetrix @icedquinn
I seriously don't get some boomers.

Mom wants to show me some pictures.
I open them in IrfanView.
She starts panicking. "how do I switch to next picture"
Me: *presses an arror
Her: How do I
me: Just press the arrow
Her: But how do I swi
me: Press the arrow
Her: But how do I swi
me: Press the arrow
she starts crying....

:blob_fearful: She isn't ususally this retarded, but something had triggered her beyond belief about that program.

@LukeAlmighty @SystemSock @feli @Nonetrix i don't know. i know gen x'ers with microsoft certifications who can't perform a basic feedback loop that "press the green X button" on the screen means "press the green X button" on the xbox controller.
@LukeAlmighty @Nonetrix @SystemSock @feli basic slide stuff isn't really a hard problem it's just there's no glory in it and it's nearly impossible to compete with MS/Apple stuffing their own on default installs.

i think the last time i even made a slideshow with anything was years ago :cirno_huh:

@icedquinn @Nonetrix @SystemSock @feli
slideshows.
80 percent of scool homework

hardly 2 percent real life usefulness.

@SystemSock @icedquinn @LukeAlmighty @Nonetrix @feli probably no chance. even if there was something foss and better your boss would stick to what he knows because it's already working fine
